Thomas Hargis has been the Associate Director of the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) since 2023.
In this role, Thomas facilitates the lab’s execution of strategy, implementing plans and budgets, and overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational teams and customer engagement.
With 25 years of diverse experience in nonprofit and for-profit markets, Thomas has expertise in developing strategies and launching new ventures across government, finance, telecom, healthcare, energy, and media industries.
Most recently, Thomas was involved in supporting veterans in the VA Boston Healthcare System; was the chief operating officer of the Online Learning Consortium, a nonprofit focused on training higher education faculty and administrators for online learning and instruction; a vice president of marketing and business development a YellowBrix, a media and information technology services company; the chief operating officer at Strategic Forecasting, a geopolitical analysis company providing consulting services and online publications; and a vice president of product management at Worldspace, a satellite radio service providing news and information to rural areas in Africa.
Thomas received a BA in Nonprofit Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
