New List Details Open Network Interoperability

Open Networking Foundation Announces OpenFlow v1.3 Test Specification

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Open Networking Foundation (ONF), a non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of open Software-Defined Networking (SDN), today announced the availability of the OpenFlow® v1.3 testing specification. AT&T (NYSE: T), Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and Windstream are among a group of Tier 1 service providers that are joining the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) to drive the next phase of the organization's Ethernet Interconnect Points (EIP) project to develop common guidelines service providers can use to interconnect their Ethernet networks when pursuing out-of-territory opportunities.
