June is Pride Month, a time to praise progress made towards LGBTQ+ rights and to reflect on the journey ahead.
At the University of New Hampshire Interoperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL), we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where our students, staff, and membership community feel welcome and supported.
Pride Month reminds us that inclusion is more than welcoming people into our community; it’s about cultivating an environment where everyone feels they belong. To support our commitment to inclusivity:
- We comply with all UNH policies to ensure a safe space for everyone.
- We provide our staff with training workshops on how to create and encourage support in our community.
- We offer resources and support networks for LGBTQ+ students, including peer support groups and mentorship programs, that help students navigate academic and personal challenges.
As we celebrate the progress made on LGBTQ+ rights and inclusion, we recognize that fostering an inclusive environment is an ongoing process that requires dedication, education, and action.
Together, we will continue to build a future where everyone can thrive.
